چکیده

Abstract Water seepage in grotto relics, i.e., Yungang Grottoes, Dazu Rock Carvings, is a key issue to accurately describe the deterioration and weathering process of rock mass. Considering rainfall infiltration, Finite element simulation was performed for studying water flow through macro-channel fractured 4th cave where group joints with directions S62°E N5°W are widely developed. A 3D atom-based representative model derived from X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns related semi-quantitative calculation powders, visualizing associated characteristics micro-channel by means molecular dynamics simulation, first time. By analyzing various properties, ranging configuration energetic behaviors dynamic characteristics, calculated flux mass rate were equal 270 ns −1 8.10 × 10 –12 g s , respectively. transport entrance region exit examined it consistent relative concentration profiles at corresponding stage. The tagged O atoms experienced zigzag movement instead linear motion as expected, roughly exhibited same target direction. relics complex evolution three types can be summarized: infiltrates micro-channels low rate; flows fracture relatively high turned into kind analogous pipe inter-connected network, resulting hazard. Current studies provide helpful insights understanding flow-infiltration behavior relics.

Water wave-driven seepage in marine sediments

The action of water waves moving over a porous seabed drives a seepage ̄ux into and out of the marine sediments. The volume of ̄uid exchange per wave cycle may a€ect the rate of contaminant transport in the sediments. In this paper, the dynamic response of the seabed to ocean waves is treated analytically on the basis of poro-elastic theory applied to a porous seabed. The seabed is modelled as ...

Representative Dynamics

This short note is devoted to the representative dynamics, a new concept, which realizes a link between the theory of controlled systems and representation theory, and the dynamical inverse problem of representation theory for controlled systems. Thus, it may be considered as a development of ideas of the earlier article [1], which follows the general ideology of inverse problems of representat...

mortality forecasting based on lee-carter model

over the past decades a number of approaches have been applied for forecasting mortality. in 1992, a new method for long-run forecast of the level and age pattern of mortality was published by lee and carter. this method was welcomed by many authors so it was extended through a wider class of generalized, parametric and nonlinear model. this model represents one of the most influential recent d...

Coupling all-atom molecular dynamics simulations of ions in water with Brownian dynamics.

Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations of ions (K+, Na+, Ca2+ and Cl-) in aqueous solutions are investigated. Water is described using the SPC/E model. A stochastic coarse-grained description for ion behaviour is presented and parametrized using MD simulations. It is given as a system of coupled stochastic and ordinary differential equations, describing the ion position, velocity and acceleration....
